It wasn't too long ago that Rick Dyer was in the news, lying to any reporter or DJ that would listen to him.
Recently, Marketing Manager, Andrew Clacy left Rick Dyer and Team Tracker once Clacy found out the doll named Hank was actually nothing more than a prop created by Spokane special effects artist, Chris Russell.
Freezer Boy retaliated by illegally gaining access to Andrew's Facebook page. Rick then took approximately 300 screen shots and left. Dyer also made sure Clacy couldn't access his Gmail account by denying Clacy access to change his password.
Following the blow out, Andrew contacted wising to speak about the events in Texas and Florida. There are certain things I am not at liberty to discuss but you can read my past blog post here to find out what I was able to discuss.
The last time I spoke to Andrew Clacy, he said he was working on a few things but he gave me no details that I could share. Now that things are out in public, I can share.
Some of you may have seen a few of the reports surfacing online but if you haven't, grab a bowl of popcorn. Click on each of the links to read the full articles.
New York Daily News
"Wait, Bigfoot isn't real?
The Las Vegas man who proclaimed to have finally tracked and killed the mythical creature, who planned an international tour to reveal the body and promised to finally "shut up" all his detractors once and for all, has admitted to lying for the second time about killing Bigfoot.
Rick Dyer posted his confession on his Facebook page Friday. The page is currently disabled.
"Coming clean about everything is necessary for a new start!" he said. "From this moment own (sic) I will speak the truth! No more lies, tall tales or wild goose chases to mess with the haters!"
In a long, rambling, typo-filled rant, Dyer admitted he pulled off the stunt for the attention and paid someone to make a fake body to look like Bigfoot that he planned to take on tour. Dyer also said he fed his "haters" information — and admitted to hacking into one's account — so they could publicly discredit him and create more controversy."
"Clacy emailed a statement to KSAT Monday saying Dyer confessed to him that he paid for a fake Bigfoot body to be constructed by a company out of Spokane, Wash.
"Mr. Dyer needed me to believe the body was real so I would contact the media and help make him money, which I did," Clacy said in the statement.
2014, when he returned with it to San Antonio, charging adults $10 and children $5 to take the tour of a rented trailer to see the body. He set up the trailer in a Home Depot parking lot at Loop 1604 and Highway 151 near where he claimed to have shot the mythical creature."
Cypress Creek Mirror - Bigfoot Tracker News is linked in this story.
"A sold-out Bigfoot attraction that made its way to the Alamo Drafthouse in northwest Harris County last month has been revealed as a fake.
Master tracker Rick Dyer made his big reveal on Facebook after a falling out with his publicist Andrew Clacy in Daytona.
"I have made lots of people mad but 1000X more smile!" said Dyer in a statement that has since been erased. “Everyone that went on my tour had less than $100 in the bank with nothing going for them, some didn't even own a car. I made their life better, I never treated anyone bad, I'm a joker , I play around that's just me."
SAN ANTONIO — "After a falling out with his Bigfoot crew, master tracker Rick Dyer, whose new title may be “con artist”, admitted that the 8-foot tall body named “Hank” that wooed crowds last month in Houston is a prop made to look like a Bigfoot.
The crew, including spokesman Andrew Clacy, had an apparent rift in Daytona last week with accusations, lawsuit threats and resignations that led to Dyer announcing “the truth” on Facebook, and Clacy emailing a statement to the San Antonio Express-News on Monday, admitting that the body was a prop."
The Latino Post
"After claiming to have shot and killed a real Bigfoot, Ricky Dyer has admitted that the 800-pound beast that he's been lugging around on a national tour is just a prop.
Dyer, a self-described professional Bigfoot hunter, claimed to have shot and killed the mythical creature in the San Antonio woods back in 2012. Earlier this year, he began traveling with what he claimed to be the body of the beast, charging spectators $10 to get a glimpse."
Andrew said he was busy but I didn't realize he was THAT busy. For many of us in the community it may not seem like earth shattering news, BUT for the average person, this could be enlightening. It could be especially enlightening for those who wasted there money to view the Bigfoot doll.
We tried our best to warn as many people as possible this was a hoax. Some listened. Some did not.
Don't forget to sign the online petition to have Rick Dyer formally charged with fraud. When Rick came clean, he basically admitted to knowingly defrauding the general public.
Charge Rick Dyer With Fraud
NOW Rick is trying to save face. The guy just can't admit anything or take responsibility for his actions. In this video, Dyer says HE chose to come clean first.
I can tell you right now, that is a BALD FACED LIE. I spoke with Andrew Clacy the day BEFORE Rick came "clean" and I have the private messages to back that up. The only way I will ever show those private messages is if Andrew says it's okay, and not before.
It's quite obvious to me that Rick Dyer can't admit that he is a fraud. A Hoaxer and a liar. After ALL of this he is still telling people he actually killed a Bigfoot on Sept. 12, 2012 and he uses the documentary 'Shooting Bigfoot' as proof of that. Seriously? Does Rick think everyone is an idiot?
You have to watch this video. Just make sure you haven't taken a drink first. Dyer says he is the most honest guy in the Bigfoot community. First of all, Rick Dyer is NOT part of the Bigfoot community. He is a coat tail rider perpetrating hoaxes so he can make money by duping innocent rubes.
Rick Dyer is a sad and sorry piece of work. It's no wonder he has no friends. Well, Tim Fricke is his friend but that could change soon.
We still don't have any word from Musky Allen. He has been quiet since Rick Dyer threw him under the bus.
If anyone still thinks Rick Dyer really shot and killed a Bigfoot, there is nothing we can do for you.
From an unsatisfied person on Rick's fan page:
"You really are a special kind of stupid, aren't you, Rick? Your page isn't back up by request... oh, no. Your page is back up because you're an attention whore, and here I am giving you some of it. The difference between this attention I'm giving you and the kind of attention you want to have, admittedly, is about 180 degrees, but I'm not about to pass up this opportunity to slag you and drag your charlatan, snake oil selling ass through the mud. You sir, are a liar, a swindler and a fraud, and while you have bilked less skeptical (read: more ignorant) people out of their hard-earned cash all in the name of "entertainment" you have also shown your true colors at the same time. You deserve to suffer the massive amount of humiliation that is sure to come your way, and I hope you enjoy having your tail tucked between your legs (and between your apparently exceedingly small balls) for a very long time. Now please, for the love of humanity, gracefully fuck off, fade from the public consciousness, and die alone. Thanks!"
